Programme Philosophy

Our Secondary (Grades 9-10) and Senior Secondary (Grades 11-12) programmes combine rigorous academic content with personalised guidance to prepare learners for certification and future pathways. We support learners through the NIOS certification structure, which is recognised by boards across India and equivalent to traditional Class X and Class XII standards.

Alignment with NIOS Framework

Wheaton Online School integrates the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) framework for secondary and senior secondary education. NIOS offers recognised courses equivalent to Class X and XII with flexibility in subject choice and pacing, empowering learners who benefit from non-traditional school settings.

Foot Note:

  1. Full-time Learners have to select minimum five subjects, with English and a vocational subject being mandatory. The remaining subjects must be from Group B, C, D, E and F However, Learners can opt for only one subject from each of Group C, D, E and F as Board exams for these subjects are held on the same day and time.
  2. Two additional subjects can be taken from any group (only one subject from each group C, D, E and F) with an additional fee as per NIOS norms.
  3. Subjects with asterisk *have a theory as well as practical work.
