Kalpana Daniel | Academic Director & Head of School
Kalpana Daniel serves as the Head of School and Academic Director at Wheaton Online School. She is a passionate educator and mentor who believes deeply in meaningful learning, thoughtful teaching, and the careful nurturing of both students and teachers.
With a background in Biochemistry and Education, and professional certifications from the International Baccalaureate, Kalpana has worked across diverse educational contexts — from classroom teaching and academic coordination to teacher training, curriculum design, and educational publishing. Her experience spans IB, Cambridge, and CBSE schools, teacher training institutes, and international content development projects.
What defines her work most is her commitment to clarity, care, and coherence in education — helping teachers grow in confidence, helping students grow in understanding, and helping schools grow in purpose.
At Wheaton, she leads the academic journey with a strong focus on integrity, reflection, and excellence in learning.

Naomi Oliver | Career Counsellor
Naomi Oliver currently serves as a Career Counsellor, drawing on her experience as a former Head of School and senior leader in education. With over 13 years of experience across India and the United Kingdom, she has developed a strong foundation in student-centred learning, academic guidance, and holistic development. Naomi is committed to helping young people discover their strengths, explore future pathways, and make informed decisions about their education and careers. Her heart for global education and her desire to make a meaningful impact continue to guide her work with learners and families today.

Abhishikt Joshua | Exams Officer
Abhishikt Joshua brings over 10 years of experience in the education sector, with extensive expertise across CBSE, IB, and IGCSE curricula. He has worked closely with schools, teachers, and examination boards, developing a strong understanding of academic standards, assessment frameworks, and compliance requirements. As the Examinations Officer, Abhishikt plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth planning, administration, and integrity of all internal and external assessments.

Priya Vijayan | Science Facilitator
Priya Vijayan is a dedicated Science teacher with a strong academic and research background. She holds a postgraduate degree with gold medal in Biotechnology, from the reputed Indian Agricultural Research Institute, and brings rich experience from both research and higher education, to the classroom. She has worked as a researcher at reputed institutions such as TERI, New Delhi and Kerala Agricultural University, where she was actively involved in scientific research and training programmes. She has also served as an Assistant Professor in a college, teaching Biotechnology and guiding undergraduate and postgraduate students. Throughout her career, she has mentored and motivated students, encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, and a scientific approach to problem-solving. She has conducted various training programmes, sharing knowledge and building skills among learners and professionals. As a passionate educator, she believes in making science engaging, practical, and relevant to everyday life. Her commitment to teaching and student development reflects her belief that education can inspire, transform, and create responsible future scientists globally.

Ms. Abigail Alexandra | ESOL Facilitator
She is an ESOL and SEN educator with a strong commitment to inclusive and student-centered learning. With a background in early childhood education and special educational needs, she brings a thoughtful and reflective approach to teaching, grounded in both academic training and practical experience.
She holds a B.Ed. in Special Educational Needs, a diploma in Education Leadership and Management, and a TEFL certification. Together, these qualifications inform her ability to design responsive learning environments that support diverse learners while maintaining high standards of engagement and achievement.
At the core of her practice is a commitment to equity, inclusion, and purposeful learning - ensuring that every student is given the opportunity to thrive in a supportive and intellectually engaging environment.

Helen George | Social Studies Facilitator
Helen George is the Social Studies educator at Wheaton Online School. She has a deep interest in helping students understand the world through history, geography, civics, and economics. She strives to make social science learning meaningful by connecting concepts to real-world contexts and encouraging students to think critically about society, governance, and global issues. With a Master’s degree in Economics, Helen designs lessons that promote inquiry, discussion, and evidence-based thinking and strives to develop informed, thoughtful individuals who can analyse information, ask questions, and form informed perspectives. Prior to her teaching career, Helen worked in roles spanning financial research, risk analysis, and compliance across global organisations. This experience has strengthened her attention to detail, structured and critical thinking, and ability to guide students in research-based learning. Helen is deeply committed to continuous learning for herself and her students, and seeks to make education meaningful by bringing curiosity, clarity, and care together at Wheaton.

Preeti Thapa | Hindi Facilitator
Preeti Thapa is a dedicated educator who believes that teaching is as much about community connection as it is about classroom instruction. With a Bachelor of Arts from IGNOU and specialized Nursery Primary Teacher Training (NPTT), she has built a robust foundation for nurturing young minds. Her career is defined by a decade and a half of diverse service, ranging from instructing primary grades at Ebyon Public School to serving as a Teacher Cum Centre Incharge for the Society For Promotion Of Tribal Welfare Development and Salaam Baalak Trust. In this leadership role, she went beyond the chalkboard to mobilize communities and empower families through dedicated outreach and awareness programs.
Most recently, she served six years as a Hindi teacher for Grades 1–8 at Wheaton International School, where she was recognized for developing curriculum-aligned lesson plans and facilitating interactive learning.

Ms. Annie Jones | Facilitator (English)
Annie Jones is a passionate educator with expertise in primary and secondary education. Holding a Bachelor of Education along with certifications in TESOL/TEFL and Montessori education, she brings a strong foundation in child-centered learning.
With hands-on experience as a Kindergarten Facilitator, she creates engaging, play-based learning environments that nurture each child’s unique strengths. Her approach focuses on building early literacy, confidence, and holistic development through structured yet interactive learning.
Skilled in lesson planning, phonics instruction, classroom management, and parent collaboration, Annie fosters a supportive and stimulating classroom culture. She is committed to developing confident, curious, and well-rounded learners prepared for their educational journey ahead.

Astha Jain | Facilitator (Math)
Astha Jain is an experienced educator with 14+ years of teaching Science and Mathematics to diverse, international learners. With a Master’s degree in Chemistry and training in Physical Science and Mathematics, she delivers concept-driven, student-focused learning.
Her approach emphasizes strong conceptual understanding, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills, especially in Mathematics. She adapts her teaching to individual learner needs, helping students build confidence and achieve consistent academic success.Known for structured, engaging classrooms, Astha combines high expectations with empathy. She integrates modern teaching methods and technology to create a dynamic learning environment, while guiding students to become independent, confident, and lifelong learners.
